The Shahamon neighbourhood, located in south-west Eilat and defined as the city’s southernmost area, is one of its newest and most upmarket neighbourhoods. Construction in the neighbourhood began in the late 1990s and continues to this day as part of the ongoing development of housing units and public institutions. The neighbourhood is characterized by spacious construction, urban parks, educational institutions, kindergartens and a range of municipal services.
Quarter 6 forms part of a broad urban residential development process. This is a multi-stage planning and construction process involving detailed plans established in accordance with the Planning and Building Law, which provide the framework for building rights and for the continued development of public and residential areas. Over the past decade, significant engineering infrastructure has been designed and built in the quarter.
M.T.N. carried out detailed traffic design for the Shahamon neighbourhood / Quarter 6 in Eilat, between Sheshet HaYamim, Ein Zohar and Derech HaTavlinim streets.
