The widening of Highway 60 south of the tunnels section into a dual-carriageway, two-lane road, including a public transport lane on the shoulder, and the construction of an interchange at Hashayarot Junction. The project included the traffic plans, the design of the construction stages and the signalling for all stages.
Highway 60 is a longitudinal traffic corridor carrying thousands of vehicles, trucks and buses between Nazareth and Jerusalem. Construction required maintaining an adequate level of service for road users throughout all construction stages, including access to all the towns along the section.
